Do I have console access?
Yes, in the control panel you will get a web console. Plus, you can access the server via SSH.
Do I need a domain?
If you want to connect to your server with a domain name instead of an IP address, we offer you DNS hosting
FreeDNS is offered by Appnor to the community as a simple solution to administrate DNS records, for both domains and subdomains.You can use our nameservers for your domain or you can create a subdomain and associate it to an IP address
How long does it take to have a new server deployed?
Deployment is fully automated and you will get a new server in a matter of minutes. Within 15 minutes at most, you will get notified by email and receive all the info needed to start using the server. Call or email support if this does not happen.
How many IPs can I get?
You get 1 public routable IP address with each server.Up to 16 IPs per machine can be acquired, charged extra according to the price list. You have to justify the usage according to RIPE requirements and we can re-claim them if they are not used.
Can I have different configurations?
Our standard configurations are tailored to fit most of the requirements. You can add any types of disks to them. For something different, contact us and let’s talk. Keep it mind that it will be a different, pricier service.
Can I get extra storage?
Yes, from the client interface you can buy storage space and attach it to your server(s).
Can I use cPanel or another control panel?
Yes, we have images (CentOS minim 2G RAM) with cPanel preinstalled and you’ll configurate it according to the instructions here The cPanel licence comes with a monthly extra cost. You may choose to install and use other control panel, possibly free of charge.

Do you offer free test?
Yes. You receive 10EUR services credit so you can test our services max 2 weeks.
There is a one time payment of 1.24 EUR;, required for the payments processor to check the card validity.
At the end of the test period, upon request, we can refund you.
What operating systems can I run?
The servers can run various Linux distributions and, at some point, Windows releases. You can select the OS when ordering the server; we have preconfigured images of Centos 6, Debian Wheezy, Ubuntu 12, LAMP stack, Wordpress stack, cPanel.
What kind of content or usage is DISALLOWED?
Read carefully our Acceptable Usage Policy to see it all. A very short version: spam or “email marketing” of all kind, VPNs, IRC, illegal content, network scanners and so on.
What payment methods do you accept?
We prefer payment by debit or credit card & PayPal. We do accept wire transfers, but it usually takes 3-5 days to process, hence the service delivery will not be instant.
Can I export my data before closing my account?
Yes, fully. You can copy, dump, rsync everything inside your virtual machines.

What is your guaranteed SLA?
100% and you get refunded 110% of your money for any downtime. Please read the SLA terms.
What kind of usage statistics do you offer?
In your control panel you will find basic stats about load, CPU usage, disk usage and network traffic.
What kind of technical support is available?
Free technical support for any issue generated by our infrastructure. Paid support for specific sysadmin work.
Who's in charge of fine tuning the server?
You are. We just make sure it is up and running. Whatever happens inside the cloud server is your responsibility. You can at any time pass the sysadmin duties to us, but it will be a payable service.
What is your response time?
Depends on severity. We’re working 24x7! Emergencies are addressed in max 1 hour, critical issues in 2-4 hours and everything else in the same or next business day.

What type of firewall can you offer?
We recommend you to use shorewall or any other iptables firewall under Linux. Also, it’s smart of you to use Apache’s mod_security and other application firewall available. We don’t offer hardware firewalls.
What do you mean by IOPS?
Read or write operations made by the disks. This is the Achilles heel of cloud servers. Each of our servers can reach a500 IOPS, the performance of 4 x 15K RPM disks in RAID10.
What hypervisor do you use?
KVM, because it’s open source, performant and easy to work with.
What is your network speed?
No less than 1Gbps. We use 10Gbps and 40Gbps redundant links for the backbone and multiple 1Gbps or 10Gbps interfaces connected to Layer 3 switches in the internal network.
Why is SMTP rate limited?
Because we ain’t keen on spammers! 8/10 service requests come from people looking for spam hosts. We don’t like spam and we don’t like spammers - at all! So, we're forced to treat everyone as guilty until proven innocent. Hence SMTP is limited to a very, very low rate by default. After you pay and start using the service accordingly to our AUP we will lift the restriction, but still monitor the SMTP traffic.
Do you protect me against DDOS?
We do have DDOS filtering in place. That being said, we drop clients that are a constant DDOS target, because it’s just too costly for us to offer the service in this scenario and it may affect our other customers.
Is RAM shared between servers?
No. All the memory you get is fully allocated to you.
Do you offer free DNS?
Can I have multiple internal networks, VLANs?
Yes. You can have as many internal VLANs as you want and use any available architecture to connect your servers.
Can I boot in recovery mode?
Yes. Or you can boot a generic recovery machine and attach the disks of your crashed server.
